Just wanted to give everyone a quick update from Las Vegas. the weather has been cold here with temperatures at freezing during the evening. I’ve had to wear my heavy winter jacket to keep me warm.
I haven’t gambled much here ($5) so far. I’m not a huge gambler to begin with and of course all the machines are just hungry for your money.
Food and items are not cheap. you would think during a recession restaurants would want your money and have a reasonable menu, but alas that is not the case. I’ve been trying to keep my meal cost down, but let’s face it, it isn’t easy in Vegas.
Tonight Russ and I are headed to see Cher. this one of Russ’ icons and I thoght this woul be a great Christmas gift for him, since he bought the tickets to come down here.
I am surprised that nit many hotels here are decorated for Christmas. The only two hotels that have gone out of there way are Ceasar’s and The Ballagio. I’ll have to upload photos when I get back home.
Well time to back to some shopping as there are some great deals on clothing to be had here.

Today is the day where we all celebrate being Canadian. We celebrate our wonderful country. We celebrate the diversity which makes up this country from coast to coast.
I myself am not a born Canadian. I immigrated here with my family when I was 5 years old and I have grown up experiencing all of the wonderful things this country offers. I’ll be fist to admit that I have not fully explored this country, especially the eastern coast, but what I have experienced has only enhanced the pride I have for being a Canadian.
I hope everyone will get out there and show their red and white colours proudly. Enjoy it with family and friends.
So to all Happy Canada Day-eh!
Nov 11th
Today, on November 11th, at the 11th hour we remember all those who have died during the last wars.
I have been fortunate enough to not have any of my relatives fight in any of the wars. My mother does remember when she was a little girl in Italy when the Germans invaded Italy and entered her village in Northern Italy. It is a time I never wish to happen to me and thank all the soldiers who have fought to make sure it never does again.
Here in British Columbia, as well as Alberta, we have the day off work as it is a statutory holiday. It does have a bitter sweet tone to it and not really a day for celebration.
I hope everyone had a moment of silence and remembered all the fallen.
Peace!

I just wanted to write a quick post and wish everyone a great and wonderful Thanksgiving!
I know most everyone has had their turkey yesterday and today will most likely be a day of rest and relaxation.
During my elementary school days we always had to write about what we are thankful during this time and today, after several years of not doing this, I’m going to attempt it again.
I’m thankful for:
What are you thankful for?
